Hello all, I saw this dish advertised kind of locally for what I consider a very reasonable price (£40)

The seller describes it as a 1.3m satellite dish, I had a look at the pictures and at first thought I kind of thought it might me a Gibertini 1.25m but when comparing it to stock photos the boom arm/s are different

It may just be some cheap chinese import, but would be interested if anyone knows what it is

Thanks

The dish looks a lot like my Gibertini 1.25.

The lnb arms look the same, and so does the back plate.

@Captain Jack or @Llew or @John might know.

thanks Chris, it was my initial thought tbh, it was the arms that threw me slightly and the lnb holder doesn't look to be the original one, although you or others would know better

Does look like one, but even if it is a clone, it looks pretty solid.

The lnb holder in pic 3 looks like the one I got with the 1.5 Gibertini.

Are you sure about that that? looks like a Rogan Josh to me!, sorry wrong thread!
Looks like a Gibby to me, twin arms from the bottom to support the lnb? Did have one, gave it to the neighbour and they have had all the main UK channels ever since.

@Journey: It is exactly like the one I picked up earlier this week.
Same arms, same LNB holder, same backplate & clamp.
Same colour, even... :)
Therefore I am rather sure it's a Gibertini OP125L.

Another one for the Arsenal: Gibertini OP 125 L

New ones are EUR 179 with hm-sat, so if in good condition 40 pounds may be ok.
Also no guarantee that it's straight - you need to string it if at all in doubt.
Mine has a little dent in the rim. But I got mine for free, so have no complaints

thank you for the really descriptive reply, I am so tempted it's not funny, I already have 4 dishes but at this price it seems rude not to buy it to be perfectly honest

I will email the seller and see what's what

Thanks to all for the replies

...... a bit late to the party J but here is a comparison showing my genuine (hopefully) OP125 recently purchased from a well known British company.
The two differences i can see is the obvious lnb holder quality and also the dish pressing mold is different on my comparison pic took from a web page. Your dish edge shape seems to be the same as mine, a closer pic of yours would confirm this. Not really sure if Gibertini altered their design or not but the lnb holders of mine and others are really good quality. Worth a punt at £40 though.

thank you @John

It does look almost the same as yours (I actually owned this dish before and the arms initially and lnb holder looked different)

I just came off the phone with the seller who is an old boy who has moved back with his wife from Spain and said they paid over 200 euros for the dish and have looked after it well

I even managed to get a tenner knocked off, so now £30, it seems like a no brainer to me now, I think

well i am paying him £50 now for 2 dishes, the one originally posted above and also a like new Triax TD 90 and he will deliver the pair free of charge tomorrow morning :)

£50 for the pair in my eyes is a great bit of business, considering the amount of money I have lost on previous purchases it looks like something is actually going my way

Seriously, thank you to everyone who helped me make this decision, because I would definitely have procrastinated and ended up losing out

Also identical to my Fracarro dish, same LNB holder too.
