My Satellite Setup
57E to 58W, C-band and Ku, DVB-S2, 4:2:2 and blindscan.
My Location
38.5ºN, 0.5ºW
I think this is 50W but not certain. Doesn't seem to be listed anywhere.

There are plenty of spare C band transponders available on Intelsat 1R, some of them are classed as 'retired' though, but there is really no reason why they cannt be brought back into service when required.

This bird has always confounded me ..
I can see SLBC at a very healthy 7db on the F15 ..but little else ..
Coincidentally I rescanned 50west around 12:30 last night ...with clear skies ..
Nothing else found ..
Not even a hint of anything at 4136H ..
How Nelson is getting a signal level of 77 is beyond me ...and I'm not far from his location ..
..But that said ..he's often said that he pulls AIT channels at good strengths ..when I have received absolutely nothing ..
I'm not saying my setup is perfect ...but I should at least get _something_ judging by SLBC ..
An anomaly I think and continues to defy logic and frustrate me..

Just as an aside ...looks like Galaxy 11 has fired up at 55West ...
Sadly nothing for us on this side of the pond ..
...it looks like ku only ...and pointed at brazil..
