Anyone tried an MTV Unlimited Card

Hi

My receiver has an embedded Conax reader. Has anyone here (from the UK preferably) brought an MTV Unlimited card and token and successfully activated it online or via sms?

Just wondering your guys opinions before i potentially waste £30.

Turns out I have an older username. Really should of checked that before I posted using an old laptop.
 
That's by no means uncommon - you're the second in two days!
 
Not turned my winows laptop on in about a year, so was a little surprised to see/find out i had an old account.
 
Never mind Ben, these things happen :D

I think some of the members have used the MTV Unlimited cards in the past, although how much future broadcast music tv channels have in the medium to long term when almost anything is available on line and you can have your own music selection instead of waiting for one or two decent songs an hour is anyones guess.
 
I'm tempted to try it for a few pounds, eBay seems to be the best bet for purchasing the card.

Hi --
i have one of these cards somewhere - a Technisat MTV unlimited card i believe ... but not used it for a couple of years now ... i used to purchase the update token/code from German e bay ... and activate it online on a German website.
 
Awesome. Yeh it's a technisat card. Card is about 20euro and so is the subscription for 6 months.

Yes different subscription lengths were available i recall 3 - 6- and 12 months .
 
Best bet is eBay or a non UK based dealership, EU ones don't seem to add "their" mark up as it were.

Have a look at our forum sponsors to see if there are any cards on offer from them

If not TV Corner in France are a decent online shop - their website can be changed to English & I havent had any problems using them.
 
Just got my ticket a few days ago, like every year, no problems at all with the activation!
 
Thanks for the relies guys. Had a look at the sponsors but couldn't find anything. Tv corner seem as cheap as eBay. Any idea how long their standard postage take?
 
A few days no more. I had a card off them before Christmas & it was 3 or 4 days.
 
Did you pick the 6 euro option?
 
Ordered so i have a few days to get a working setup in my Amiko Alien. Thanks again for the advice, i'll report back when it arrives. Ran out of card slots now :p
 
Card arrived and after a fair bit of help from users of this form and another satellite form (many many thanks to @glamourservices ) its working fine. I chose to activate the card using Spark on my box as i've read reports of it only activating properly in an official Conax CAM). Nothing happened for about 3 hours or so but eventually the card updated and all now works fine. The card seems to work fine and update on a box running Enigma2.
