cheers nelson.b.

I get that on my system too - 75% Quality on the TM-5200 :)

EDIT: Just disappeared - was it a feed perhaps?

Yes it would seem that these are occasional feeds.

Hi again nelson_b,

Nice one mate... I've been tracking that for ages... with no luck...

I have found another active feed... it scans in on a blind search... it downloads the feed channels' name, symbol rate and all PID's... but when I go to the channel... it won't lock again... strange...

12.724V [3000] 3/4 DVB-S QPSK [Pan-Arab Beam]

Feed ID: Ashorooq DSNG KR [VPID 0308/APID 0256/PPID 8190] FTA

Can you get this...?

Best Wishes,
Zorch

Hi again nelson_b,

Sudan TV [VPID 1660/APID1620/PPID 1660] FTA

hi - Zorch -
yes indeed- both channels have come up for me despite a very low signal quality reading on both -
lower than normal lock level for this box ?

off to work now---
regards nelson.b.

Hi again nelson_b & william-1,

I've been threatening to do it... and now I have... I have rummaged through the cupboard and dug out my old and trusty TM 5400 CI+ USB... hooked it up... and it is now in service again...

I have resorted to using this box again because I could not get a lock on the feed TP which I found earlier this morning... and after a quick blind search (S/R - 3.7M Under) it detected the feed TP... downloaded from it... and now I can view the channel... no problem... who said newer is always better...?

12.724V [3000] 3/4 DVB-S QPSK [Pan-Arab Beam]

Feed ID: Ashorooq DSNG KR [VPID 0308/APID 0256/PPID 8190] FTA

TM 5400 CI+ USB
Signal Strength 82%
Signal Quality 51%

I have attached pictures below...

PS
Ignore the clock time in the pictures... the feed has sent it doolally...

Best Wishes,
Zorch

Hi again william-1,

Didn't know you also had a TM 5402 HD CI+ Super+

I am also using 1.17p software... but this TP still will not give a lock on my TM 5402 HD ...it finds it ok on blind search (as I have mentioned earlier) but no lock afterwards...

:confused::confused:

Best Wishes,
Zorch

Yes I have had the 5402HD for about a year now a bit disappointed with the blind scan (finds 45,0000 S/R at times when the correct symbol rate is only 4 numerals 'O'-red besides the blind scan not being as good as the 5000USB series,
I have spoken to several engineers that program these receivers & suggested that the 5000USB series has a better blind scan & would it be possible to implement the low High symbol rate on the HD receivers & was told that it would be easy to implement but that priorities to make all video players & multi card use was a much higher priority ?
I have even been told that the blind scan is a secondary feature by other receiver developers & the blind scan was a very low priority & if it works we are lucky

I also have a TM5302HD that spends more time in the cupboard as the blind scan needs attention as does most of the other software also a Blade BM7000s that is very similar to the 5402HD but lacks the channel / transponder sort features also throws up 45,000 S/R when a lower symbol rate is found at times uses the same channel list as the TM both very good with You Tube / Internet radio & multi card use but the Blind scan could be better,
I was disappointed when Manhattan decided to scrap their enthusiasts HD receiver that I was to have Beta tested last year never mind hopefully we will get a receiver one day that can do all the Codex with a programmable blind scan & 4:2:2 until then I will have to keep trying out the new software hoping that someone will eventually get it right

I've just tweaked my 1.80 Prime Focus and I can just get "Tandberg Service" 12618V, 2222, 3/4 here in West Yorks. Pretty clear sky. SNR 47%, AGC 99%, BER ~230 on my DM7025 (poor tuner). No lock on any other transponders on this sat.

Hi nelson_b et al,

I moved my dish back to Arabsat 5A this morning (8.25am) and I tweaked position on 12.656V to get optimum signal... I then just happened to try 10.862V (Sudan TV) and I got a signal lock... I successfully downloaded the channel from the TP... the signal quality was below what I would normally expect to be able to get a stable lock...

The stable lock on this TP was very brief lasting about 1 minute... I just managed to set up my camera in time... and was able to get a couple of pictures before it went under my radar again... the signal lock is still returning (intermittently) but has subsequently not again reached sufficient signal quality to provide any images on-screen...

120cm, 52N, 4,3E, clear sky

why does the board soft converts sky into a link?

Various skim links help raise money to keep the forum going. The running costs on a big forum are not cheap - Chris the site owner has had to invest in hiring new servers several times over the last few years for various reasons.

Unlike some other forums we dont keep hassling folk to pay compulsory "donations" every few months.

Feed on 12602V, DVB-S, 3300, 3/4 DMI SNG 02

S_K_Y is still clear ;)

Does anyone in the UK still manage to get anything from this one? If so which ones and which is strongest? Been trying to catch this one but not had any luck yet.

Hello,

not from UK, but you can give a try on 12523 V 2500 3/4 in DVB-S.

Best Regards
qwer.

hi - SatSearcher
i can receive 12523 V 2500 on the 1.8 cm - no problem - as "dx qwer" recommended - and a blind search picked up 12621 V 3799 also .

i tried with 1.2 cm and i,m "just" able to pick up -12523 V 2500 - quite pixelated though ---- as the pic below shows --- and weather conditions are good here tonight - :)

cheers nelson.b.

edit -- signal has strengthened during the last hour -- picture is now stable on 1.2 cm
a manual scan brought up 12617 V 2220 - no breakup on that one either now -

...
Hi friends ..
Medi Tv absolutely no problem on the TD110 ...atm
12621 V

but is very TOD dependent..dropping to below threshold and lock for me in the evening.

Not managed anything else as yet ..but 12621 V
for me at least appears to be the strongest transponder at my location.
