Arabsat-5A in the UK?

Nothing down here with the Penta 85. Tried blind scanning but this is useless when there's a strong Astra 2 nearby..
 
Well, tried the 2 strongest reported frequencies above, still nothing yet, will keep trying at different times of day.

IMN channel is locking and showing an unbroken picture again tonight on the 1.2 c.m.-- 11.45 pm --

the M 3 skybox that i have on this dish - locked better with the frequency as 12527 V 2500 rather than
the reported - 12523 V 2500 so maybe worth trying slight variations if you have,nt tried already

this time of day is best for me on this t.p.-- keep trying i,m sure you will get this one

Thanks for that, will have to wait till tomorrow to try again though, left the dish on 42E and moving it now would wake the Missus and half the neighbourhood up!

Hi again all,

I have been trying for this one since the (DVB-S) Medi1 TV transponder left... I never thought I would ever be able to receive it though as it's a DVB-S2 signal... but to my amazement I finally got a lock on it this afternoon... has anyone else managed to get this one...?

that t.p came up for me on a blind search on the 1.8 the other night -- but would not show on 1.2 ,
vipersan was receiving it though on his TD-110 dish ( post 40 )

i blind searched this sat 8.30 this morning before work , with the 1.2 and 12.621V [3800] came in quite strong --and is showing even stronger this evening 6.00pm
also - 12617 V 2220 -- and 12527 V 2500 -- came in on the 1.2 scan this morning -- but are below lock at the moment --

signal strengths are very varied now for me - here - in the last 30 mins --
medi tv 12.621V [3800] has dropped way below lock suddenly
and 12617 V 2220 has shown a big increase and is now locked with an unbroken picture:)

Not having much luck with this one! Just tried 12527V, 12617V & 12621V and nothing whatsoever! Will leave the dish parked on it overnight and check later in the evening.

There's very little chance of receiving any of the Horizontal TP's here in the UK mate... but thanks for your report...

Of course I know, that these (horizontal) transponders are mostly very small in signal strength. But today, 12513 H increases (21.00 - 21.50 Berlin time). Now about 20% less signal strength.

Hello Zorch,

I'm quite sure you would have received 12513H if you would be there on the right moment! See my report on dishworld, it was stronger than all V transponders on my 100 cm Triax. Right now it only locks sporadically. It is my first H lock on 30.5 East.

Probably there is some wrong beam fault going on. I see also irregular peaks around 12662H, like there is some loose switch...
