I couldn t get 26East . Haven' t been able to lock it for a month or so.
I ended up doing a blind search, and, bingo they all came back on top of my existing sat list for 26east
All,except the 2 "Nigerian" ones ,10970 and 11010 ,both stay as they 've always been.
Seems the rest of the flock all moved "+150" against their old frequencies.
I thought my lnb was ageing somewhat, but, since both Nigerians are still at their former slots,
and the other TPs on other sats haven't moved... it's them, not me.
I checked this with 9TPs ,all arab-speakers. Always +150.
Ex:Atlas was 12303,is now 12453/Bahrein 12226 now 12376...
Strange isn't it?

maybe same for 7w(same company) and only 1 Morocco transponder locks.

Looks like the L.O. setting for high band in your box became 10750 MHz instead of 10600 MHz.

it occurs to me that ,26e being very close TO 28e,there have been interferences between them,
Ex:TV Orient on 26E VS Sky news on 28E,same frequency & sky stronger than tv5 orient.
Someone may have decided of a different frequency plan to avoid interference maybe?
Now,is that change only on my receiver?

yes i had a wrong combination:9750/10750;I retuned it to 9750/10600 & the signal disappeared.
So now,I need to re-lock my sat list for 26E
except for the 2 "Nigerians" however?
Thank you for your quick helpfulness,Ozumo

Indeed ,each sat has its own lnb setting
have re-scanned in blind mode after correction (9750/1600) nothing, zilch
I tuned it back to 9750/1750 and it works....
Is it a problem that I keep 1750 for arabsat26E & 1600 for the others?

No as long as you understand that's why the frequencies don't match the published ones. Seems strange that the blind search didn't find anything.

a last question:why this choice of various LNB settings for each satellite?
are there cases when another setting than the "usual" one may help, and in what way?
Happy evening!

If you have a DiSEqC switch you may have a different type of LNB on each input. For example I have an SMW LNB with a single LO
of 10750, being able to set the receiver to Single 10750 and one polarity means the receiver doesn't make multiple scans of the same IF range and will display the correct frequencies.

i have a monoblock, does this include a simple DISEqC device?
To what benefit may I use an alternative,non-1600,setting?

I thought your monoblock was one of those adjustable ones that is literally just 2 individual LNBs joined by some sliding plastic? But yes most monoblocks contain DiSEqC switching.

The benefit of changing the LO setting is so it matches the LO in the LNB and enables the receiver to display the correct frequency. There is no benefit in using an incorrect LO setting.

thank you ,I ll re-adjust then.
So,do I need to check on the LNB,what its setting is?
Or does the receiver do this automatically by default?

It may say on the LNB, however nearly all consumer LNBs are Universal 9750/10600 and that's what receivers usually default to.

again how come the 2 "nigerian" TPs ,10970 and 11010,are not affected by the +150 slide?
btw they seem to come from a different sat, their reception pattern differs much (weaker & unstable)
maybe a different beam.

Generally frequencies below 11700MHz use the low band LO, in this case 9750.
