Stupid question, really !
There are more stars in the seen universe that we have grain of sand on all our beaches here on Earth.
Let us assume that there are 1 % of those stars that have planets.
In every handful of sand You grab then there is one grain that has planet(s)
Let us say that 1 % of those stars have stone planets. In every bucket of sand You take every second one is a Star with a stone planet.
If every stone planet is in the Live sector (again, say 1%) has water then a ton of sand has a planet made of stones, circling in the living sector and having water.
A ton (metric)... how many could that be ?
Well more than one for sure.
SETI been looking for a signal for a loong time.
Now, what is a loong time in galatic measurement ?
A million years ? Perhaps a biljon years !
Seti been active for 70 years. They hope for a contact anytime.
Hopefully before the Sun runs out of gas , that will be withing the next 4 biljon years.
So the question I asked is rather stupid.
