Intelsat 39 62 e C-band and Ku-band capacity to provide broadband and video distribution services across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The satellite will also enhance mobile connectivity for aero, maritime and government users operating in the Indian Ocean region.
HYLAS 3. The Ka-band satellite was constructed under a joint venture with the European Space Agency and has 8 beams within one cluster on board and is able to connect any base station with visibility of its 31ºE orbital position.

Covarage map looks really interesting both at C and Ku band.
Looks like the Iranian channels become possible in northern Europe, today I get max 3-4 dB when more 6-8 dB is needed for reception.

On the C band, the EU beam becomes extremely strong.

The pictures are on the Intelsat website.

A new satellite for everybody (except Jeallen). :-respekt

A 5m pole should do it.
As we both know, there are enough "issues" with the 3m ones already up about "visibility to the neighbours" (as well as keeping them properly vertical) - putting up a 5m would be like saying " I'm HERE - come and get me" to the planning guys!

In-orbit testing will be at 55.3°E, final location 62.0°E.
TT&C on 3948.5, 3949.0, 3951.0, 3953.0, 3953.5 MHz.
