Ariane bsat 4b & galaxy 30, mev-2

MEV-2 is supplied by Northrop Grumman for the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, SpaceLogistics LLC. Intelsat 10-02 will be the first customer of the MEV-2. Once docked, it will control the orbit of the customer satellite using its own thrusters. After its mission for IS-10-02, MEV-2 will undock and be available for another customer’s vehicle.


Galaxy 30 (G-30) will be the first replacement satellite in Intelsat’s North American Galaxy fleet refresh. It will provide high-performance broadcast distribution capabilities, including Ultra-High Definition (HD) and over-the-top (OTT), while also supporting broadband, mobility and enterprise network solutions.

To enable additional technical checks required under the fairing and the Ariane dual launch system (SYLDA), the final phase of launch preparation operations for the 253rd Ariane flight (VA253) has not been initiated by Arianespace.
The soonest possible launch date for this mission is Friday, July 31 at:

  • 5:30 p.m., Washington, D.C. time,
  • 6:30 p.m., Kourou, French Guiana time,
  • 9:30 p.m., Universal Time (UTC),
  • 11:30 p.m., Paris time.

CSG Kourou feed is already online with view on Ariane and background chat on 7.0°E 11090 H 4936 3/4 8PSK.

Galaxy-30 will be tested at 84.55°E (wonder if that's an error), and final location is 125°W.
Frequency bands 3.7...4.2, 10.7...11.7, 17.8...18.8 and 19.2...20.2 GHz.
TT&C on 4197.5 and 4198.5 MHz.

BSat-4b will probably end up at 110°E, and MEV-2 at 1°W as already known.
