I have a 90cm dish to view Italian channels on Hotbird 13 E.I would like to to view the Italian channel Sportitalia on Astra 1G 31.5E which is free to air since June 2011.Can anybody advise what I would need to do to achieve this without obviously setting up a new dish. Thanks

Forgrt it - they are using none standard (professional?) broadcast parameters, not normal mpeg.

11914 H
DVB-S2/8PSK
ACM/VCM

They are not available to hobby level receivers.

Well yes, even my Humax Foxsats are S2 capable. I'm sure there are many, many others.

Those parameters are not just for Feeds but an ever growing number of "proper" Channels.

Now, Receviers that can deal with 4:2:2 Feeds are still not common ............... is that what you meant?

I've not been able to see anything from this bird for a few months now, I used to get the Italian channels as well as 12090, 12168V but nadda now. I'll also be interested to see if anyone else can get them.

Any linux receiver with the video streamed across your lan to the computer where you use vlc player.

I watch 4:2:2 news & sports feeds this way regularly with my DB 7020

Of course, although in this case the problem is not the decoders but the DVB-S2 ACM modulation of the transponder...
