Hi all you experts. I'm hoping that someone can direct me to finding a part that I need. I'll explain the situation. From CPC, I bought a Fortec Star 90cm dish

and a Fortec Star dish turner =http://l.skyrme.net/qdf4rm.

The dish said it fits up to 48mm poles, which I estimate to be around 2". You guys will know what I'm talking about here I'm sure: the satellite bracket is in two parts, one that fixes permanently to the back of the dish, then the other part, which swivels, that is supposed to connect to the pole (which will be the dish turner in my setup). Unfortunately the bracket will go nowhere near fitting the dish turner, which has a much wider diameter than the pole supplied with the dish. I've been trying to find a part like this:

However, I've had no luck. I managed to find this on a US website but it's no longer stocked. I believe, from the instructions, that this is referred to as the F/Mast bracket. The instructions shown here

are identical to mine, except the bracket I've mentioned have U bolts, rather than the type I have, which have a hole with teeth that's meant to clamp onto a specific pole.

Can anyone advise what I need to do in order to attach this dish securely to the dish turner, given that the bracket supplied to me doesn't do the job? If I can source a replacement f/bracket with u-bolts, that would be ideal.

Thanks all.

Can you post a photo of the bracket at the back of the dish, I've got a 90cm fortec star dish and it fitted on the motor fine, and onto a scaffold pole.

Hey, thanks for the quick response. And look where you are in relation to me! Here's the pics I took of it the other day.CIMG0057.webp That's me holding the bracket, you'll see it's essentially got two holes for a pole, and it's intended to bite onto the pole when the long bolt is fitted through it and done up.

This pic shows it attached to the curved mounting pole supplied with the dish. Obviously this bit isn't going to be used, and in any case, the bracket has a lip at the top to prevent the pole sliding all the way through (so that the weight of the dish is taken by this lip onto the pole), whereas with the dish turner, this hangs down with a lip at the bottom (shown in the next pic). CIMG0058.webp

This is the final pic that shows the dish turner, and to the right of it, the bracket I had intended to attach it to. CIMG0059.webp

And finally, this is what I believe I need. A replacement bracket/clamp/whatever, with a gap of 3.5" between the "blades" to attach to the back of the disk, and with 2 u-bolt fittings that will allow me to fix it to the dish turner (which has an approx 2" diameter on the pole).

Thanks.

Have removed the copyright image, but relating to your bracket, that appears to be the wrong bracket for the dish, the dish bracket should have two U bolts for up to 60mm mast according to their advert.

Did you look at the 'copyright image' before you removed it? That shows perfectly what I need, which is, as you describe, the bracket with two u-bolts. Incidentally, I contacted Sadoun first of all as they clearly used to sell this bracket but no longer do, and I have their permission to use the image in locating an equivalent part. Nice people.

So in your opinion you think I've been supplied the wrong part? It's just that this is getting ridiculous, the first dish arrived all battered and scratched because of inadequate packaging, now the replacement (which could well be the same as the first one) has the wrong fittings? I've contacted CPC to tell them this, but so far, heard nothing back. Think I should return the dish and buy another elsewhere perhaps.
