Or this is just local fluctuation, due to clear winter weather?

Some transponders of Astra 1M europe beam are unusually strong today, for example 12285 V, is so strong, that I was able to lock it and scan channels even on 1.2m dish ! Previously, even on 1.6m dish I only get peak on spectrum analyzer, but unable to lock and scan this TP. Can anyone check, what is on your meters?

seems like no one cares :)

strength went even further recently.

Dont think its not that anyone cares, but most of our members are either in:

western Europe where 1M is a huge signal even on small dishes, and signal increases are not noticed

India where 1M is out of reach

We have very very few members active or otherwise along the eastern fringes of the 1M coverage area :)

I can have a look next week when I'm in Helsinki if I have any change but the signal is so strong there anyway it might not be noticeable.

Thanks, I already have report from Lithuania - signal is same there, so I don't think Helsniki will notice any change.

Too bad my Dvbdream trial expired, so I can't further log signal changes across the timeline. Maybe there is some freeware alternative?

1M has different beams, maybe they changed something there. Here there is no measurable change.

the 12285v still on astra 1h not astra 1m

12285 is on the Astra 1M (_http://en.kingofsat.net/tp.php?tp=94). Maybe the transponder moved from the Europe Beam to the Europe Wide Beam?

No, strength increase is not such strong. For example, on my 1.5m offset dish, 1M wide beam transponders have 15db signal strength, but certain 1M europe beam transponders were 1-2db and unlockable, and now, they are 5db and lockable. Previously, 12640 and some others were listed as 1H on lyngsat, now it is 1M europe beam, so I think, with satellite switching, they also changed the power.

You are completely right. My name is Narek and I live in the capital of neighbouring country, Armenia. I've also noticed significant raise of signal quality on some of ASTRA 1M Europebeam and ASTRA 1H transponders. On a commonly used standard 1m and 5cm offset dish I also manage to get 10832 H 22000 FEC 2/3 frequency with 15-19% poor quality, and even 12344 H; 12422H; 12522 V; 12581 V; 12640V and 12692H from ASTRA 1H with approximately 25-29% signal quality on my Openbox scale which are mostly viewable. According to my speculations and rough calculations, its quite possible to receive all of ASTRA 1M Europebeam and ASTRA 1H frequencies with a solid 1.80-2.10m offset of primespot dish and low noise 0.2 db LNB. A few days ago there was a very weak signal rating 18-30% on 11568 V transponder from ASTRA 1L satellite early in the morning. By the way, are you able to receive 12188 H and 12226H frequencies from ASTRA 1L, as they are quite strong and show high performance??? ThanX for your reply in advance.

Hello bombedone,

I will go back to jordan in a week and then I'll check your interresting observation, as I also receive 1M Europe as fringe..
