Astra 1N, Eastern Europe, reception survey, UK spot beam (11126V DVB-S2)

Please only post signal reports if you are east of the red line on the map. This line is approx 1.5º from the beam axis (looking from the satellite) and based on the beam centre being at 52.5ºN & 1.5ºW.



At the moment reception reports are for 11126 V 22000 2/3 8PSK only. Sorry this is a DVB-S2 transponder but this seems to be the only stable transponder currently transmitting.

Please state:

1. your co-ordinates
2. your aerial size
3. if you are getting digital lock
4. if you are receiving a stable picture

Please only post in this thread if you are East of the red line. So far there have been no reports from anyone in Europe to the west of this line that can't receive it in any of the other threads related to this satellite.

At last Dish alligned a little bit accurately and the result is as below

11126 V good enough to watch
10964 H picture cracks up

I have a pretty stable reception of 2d. Horizontals and no verticals.

I guess that apparent eastern sharp cutoff is effecting me.

Similar result in Oulu Finland - no signal reported on a 1.1m Triax.

Now with ch4 on 1n. I've now lost it do confirms that my setup cannot get 1n verticals either.

Taking The Midlands, UK (Birmingham) as the beam centre the red line is 1.5º off axis.

• Copenhagen 55.67N, 12.50E = 1.5º
• Oslo 60.00N, 10.75E = 1.6º
• Stockholm 59.33N, 18.00E = 2.1º

So you are all outside the line.

I live near Borlänge 190 km NW of Stockholm.
On 1N I can now get the ITV's on 11053 H with 80% signalquality
with my Pace 2600 C1 and a 150cm Gibertini.
This is significantly better than 2D where I have around 40% signalquality.
