Two new services are currently show test cards on the 1N ITV transponder 11053H 22000

They are labelled:

20745
20735

Those labels appeared 2-3 days ago - I noted them a few pages back. They were blank then though.

Yes I didn't mean they where new to the transponder just new things happening to them. I wonder what they will be or will they go off again as quickly as they came?

Things should be sutting down for xmas very soon I would think?

Things may appear on the transponders but there probably wont be any epg changes for the next 2-3 weeks now. The Sky epg freeze started yesterday

Things do go quiet over Christmas & New year but there are always a few changes going on.

Hi Folks, this will be of interest to Fuerteventura Mahos. Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Milestone11 in Tamaragua and had a look at his setup. Astra 1n coming in well on his Amstrad DRX890Z with only slight blocking at times on ITV, Channel 4 HD was intermittent and the fives were breaking up. He told me it's better at night. I put me meter on it and was getting 70% signal and 29/30% quality on 11053 enough to lock a good picture 10964 was same signal strength 26% quality with the picture breaking up. Forgot to check channel 4. His dish is 1.25 Metres across the narrowest part of the elipse, which is the correct way to measure it, top to bottom, which is the wrong way it's 1.4 mtrs. Also the the LNB arms have been shortened due to corrosion so the focal point is slightly out. So with a correctly aligned 1.35 dish and a good LNB and a good reciever you should pull in a signal. Leaves no margin for cloud ect. Just thought you'd like to know. Just sorry I cant give more accurate figures but it's only a toy meter. Happy Christmas.

You would think they are for some ITV region reshuffles but we'll have to wait and see. All ITV regions should be presented to William Road's Multiplexing Centre so why they stuck out a card instead of video I'm not sure. Maybe this is for another service or services wanting to go spotbeam?

Guys, have you noticed signal increase recently? During the day I am able to view all Astra 1N active transponders, whereas H transponders were significantly weaker in a past. Now they all seem to be stronger than ever. Perhaps that was already discussed in previous threads but I wasn't feeling to search through last 40 pages, sorry..

Oh yes!! The signal is stronger on all channels. I'll check tonight at 8pm (7pm in the UK) to see if I'll be able to lock channels.

Well, I am a bit surprised as I still can watch 10964, whereas it has been the weakest transponder in my area .

hello to all,

ran some teste today and not easy due to high winds. well the 2 meter dish has a lnb problem and will change the c120 lnb on monday. when a 2 meter has a weaker signal than a 1 meter its eather a dirty feed horn or lnb low output. did test some other things. 12.422 h seams to be gone. it must have transfered all the tv 5 to 1N. 12.480 V has gone as well. 12.402 v the itv is still running encrypted. also using a analog tester i mesured 54 dbuv itv transponder on 1 n on a 1 meter dish and 6 meters of cable lenth and measured same level on the 2 meter dish. lnb is 5 years old and suspect the salt breeeze has probably gotten to it for sure. also ch 5 uk looks like it has moved to 1 n for good and is in the clear. i went to ch 5 on the sky box and pulled the card and it was still running. befor you needed some kind of free view card just to run tv 5 only. well thats all for now.

Well, the signal here, right now, is still stronger than last weeks. I was going to install new bigger dish tomorrow, but seems that 60cm is enough at the moment...:-righton

Maybe someone knows. I'm thinking why the signal today is so stronger than last weeks...??? It can depend on the weather (I'm not joking, I really don't know...) or they are working and sent more power?

Uh! Yes! Very clear, strong wind and cold are coming. I noticed that if weather is sunny and not cold the signal is normal: about 56% in the morning and 49/50% no lock in the evening on my ct5100hd.Today 60% almost sunny, but very dry and cold.

I'd like to know the weather in KRAKOW. Iggy can You hear me? :)

It's been raining hard all day in Helsinki. Even Astra 2D is no good for me on a 1.8m in the rain so no chance with 1N, not that I think I'd get a glimps anyway.

It felt freezing here last night, almost got down to 10ºC, and 2D was booming in compared to normal.

Well, I am not sure if the weather has to do with this latest signal increase, but it's around + 2-3 degrees, very windy and rains occasionally. I have been monitoring C4HD let's say for last 24 hours and the signal is 24/7. It's weird as last week I was able to watch C4 HD only during the day, from 11 am until 5 pm. Now it’s different and even channel 5 package works fine.
