Astra 2C moving west

These days, some TPs were moved from 1M to 1KR. May this mean that 2C is going to replace 1M, which itself, is going to another position?

Concerning ASTRA 2C: The satellite is located at 19.2° east, providing capacity mainly for the transmission of broadcast services to consumer audiences in continental Europe. ASTRA 2C guarantees continuity for the ASTRA fleet at 19.2° East, and will replace ASTRA 1H when that satellite approaches its end of life.

10994 H signal ceased in eastern europe. Probably it was moved to Astra 2C.

Looks like it - both Kos & Flysat are saying Arte analogue has switched to 2C.

Signal here is "visible" on spectrum analyzer, but strength is same as say, 1KR signals (weak). This means, dish larger than 3 meter is needed.

Here is why the Astra 2C signal is so poor in the far east of Europe:

Couldnt find the direct link on the site but if you know your way around & stick some logical web addresses in you can find it!

Does anybody which channels or packages are being switched to 2C ?

Eventually it will be everything off Astra 1H

Sky Germany
Canalsat France
RTL
ORF

are all affected atm

Plus they will probably switch a few other frequencies off the other satellites to lessen the load on them

You mean you couldnt find it on the SES site? Strange, it is there:

and here _http://www.ses-astra.com/business/en/satellite-fleet/satellite-list/astra2c/index.php

I only had a quick look, and the main Astra 2C link in the satellites menu isnt working.

Now to find the Astra 1N footprint on the site - Im told its coming soon (NOT the google earth version)

Aha! Do you get in Limassol Astra 1KR or 1L? Or just like me in Jordan only Astra 1M and 1H?
