140 offset dish

I have a (no brand name) 140 cm offset dish, a humax universal lnb 0.7 db and a pace reciever for fringe reception,
I can get astra 2d from 11am to 7pm with signal strength at 69 % and signal quality at 80%
after 7pm the signal strength is still 69% but the signal quality drops to 69% resulting in no Astra 2d in the evening.

If I change the LNB to Invacom quad qdh-031 how much increase can I expect?

I have read that with below 75% signal quality you cant get astra 2d, so I'm looking to increase my signal strength by 6 to 11 % that way when the evening drop comes I'll still be over the threshold.

Can I expect this increase just by upgrading my universal 0.7db lnb to the Invacom 0.3db lnb ?

No-one can answer how much improvement you will get - its unique to each setup, (location/dish/receiver/length of cables etc)

Buy one and see if it works.

To be honest the best thing you can do is fit a bigger dish - more metal collecting the exceedingly weak signals.
 
thanks, I think I'll try just changing the lnb to invacom, if it doesn't work I'll go with a bigger dish.
 
The Inverto Black Ultra is cheaper, and right now doesn't seem to have much real competition for 2D fringe reception.
