'Fraid not. A customer of mine has a 3m in Moncarapacho, and getting nothing on a Pace 2600C1. Haven't been round yet to try the speccy & a tweak, but it's not looking good :(

So far nothing at all spot beam on any size dish whatsoever in the Algarve. Truly sad to say goodbye to my setup of 12 years and downgrade to Filmon. Only 2Mb net also so no chance of IPTV and the "other" solution probably too buggy to risk 200€ on. Anyone want to buy a HTPC 2TB low power AMD/Radeon 5450 Hauppauge WinNovaS2 with a 1.5m prime focus with quad LNB? Certainly no one within 500km.

I'm getting interrupted recordings (due to signal) from earlier this evening on BBC HD channels 10847. According to Heuvos's signal report http://satellites-xml.org/28E-SNR.php this is one of the weakest transponders - is this because its DVB s2?

Also, what time of day can i expect strongest and weakest signals? Muchos Gracias mis amigos

I suspect it'll be because of the 8PSK mode which needs more signal to successfully decode it.

Stable signal on my 80cm dish - no pixilation at all.

As for times of days, this 80cm dish had no signals at all at 7am, but by 9am signals were all there.
Was stable until I noticed a small drop around 5pm, and been stable since. So it is now a question of when (or if) does it drop out again for a "No signal" at 7am tomorrow am.......

Hi from central portugal, 20 kms north of Tomar.
2.3 mt prime with sky HD box
7 this morning all BBC OK , dropped out in the rain during early afternoon.been OK all evening apart from heavy rain, seems to cope with most showers. BBC HD defo the weakest.
Looks like its going to follow the same pattern as 2F , which signal drops off during day and picks up at night..... time will tell.....

I don't think any of those channels have moved yet and you'll probably lose them over the next day or 2.

(acho amanha ou depois vais perder os tais canais porque apenas a BBC ja mudou para Astra2e, raio restrito ao reino Unido, o ITV e Channel4 ainda ficam na velha maquina)

1.4m Obidos Portugal, no BBC, still ok on itv C4, heartened by expatsat with 2.3m ok at 20km north of Tomar. Now I'm wondering if investing in a bigger dish is worth doing here in Obidos. And if so how big?

The 80cm dish still has signals at midnight.
Woke up and checked at 630 - no signals.
but by 730 signal started to pop in.
All 2E channel available by 750.
So there is some sort of signal variation during the night.

But 2F on this dish does not do this.

The 90x100m dish had all signals.

I think with 2.40 m Famaval, good and matched feed, and a top LNB as well, you may have a chance. You are on the "fast drop-off" zone, so I wouldn't rule out that you could still receive it. But you should wait for some reports to come in and probably arrange to see how your spectrum looks like as it is. Do you receive any of the 2F's spot transponders?

At the moment I can not see the difference night / day, cloudy and overcast or raining, the sky is not clean or 30 minutes.
With the clouds I lose 3% of mean signal.
