Flysat is by no means an official and reliable source. It's a user generated 'database'. No official word of SES? SES still list the launch date as Q2 2013.: _www.ses.com/4233127/upcoming-launches

And the translation from croatian is?
Astra 2E, satellite operator SES, according to the latest information should be launched in July this year. According to previous announcements, Astra 2E was supposed to be launched in June.

The satellite will be launched with the help of kosmodroma Cosmodrome Proton M rocket, and will work to position 28.2 ° E where it will provide services in Europe, Middle East and Africa. It has 64 Ku transponders and four Ka. Satellite was built by EADS Astrium company based on the Eurostar E3000 platform.

And then the fun starts all over again - who gets the UK channels - who loses out - and all that wonderful speculation in between - he he.

Is it weird that I'm still excited at the thought of Astra 2E going up even though it'll probably mean the end of many channels for me?

dont say that - anything could happen - my guesss is we may all be a bit surprised at the actual footprint when it gets there - or maybe the birds will crash into each other and then there will be none.....

Most people won't be as badly effected as me in Finland, but if the new European footprints are anything like those from 1N Pan European there is no chance of a signal for us with anything under 2-3m from any transponders on 2F and 2E. Then if SES win the Eutesat frequencies we'll lose those too. That leaves us with pretty much nothing until 2G comes along when the signal levels should get a little better again in the south of Finland, assuming they even use 2G at 28.2E or the European beams.

Realistically, I think it's going to be a time to scrap Sky go back to Canal Digital and Internet streaming as the number of channels drop off for us.

If they have the lowest number of brain cells they will unofficial change the footprint so that at least expats will have the opportunity to receive freesat with reasonable big dishes ( over 2m) for places that have expats like Cyprus,Spain Crete east Aegean isles and Ionian islands in western Greece.

Not much chance with Cyprus and parts of Greece since SES plan to use 2E and maybe future satellites for Middle East broadcasts.
