There is a good deal of truth (and irony) in that, skomedal: Most UK Members of this Forum avoid Sky like the very plague!

Looking at the provisional footprint maps for the Pan European beams there are going to be some unhappy Sky subscribers in some areas - the main coverage area is western Europe, not Pan Europe!
Hello. :-wave

astra2efg-pe.webp

2F pan euro footprint,,, note sidelobe covering CI and expats

the PE footprints seem problematic for the nordic countries, but even they wont need extremely big dishes. not like the 4 meter i would need for 2F uk beam :)

Updated info about the Russian inquiry

astra 2e was last update launch march 2013
new date for after delayed to 13 june 2013
anik g1 will be 31 junuary 2013

What's the source for that, Solly?

Same source lists.

Jun 13 Proton-M/Briz-M Ekspress AM-5
Jun 13 Proton-M/Briz-M Astra 2E
Jun 13 Proton-M/Briz-M Inmarsat 5 F1

It is outdated.

Satlaunch.net was saying end of May 2013 but have now announced it would be early June 2013 for the Astra 2E launch.

I make that a week of apparent delay. Not a lot!

I presume you mean before service transfers or launch? Satlaunch have the launch as being end May/early June still.
