@analoguesat:
Hi! Here's my daunting reception report from Bolzano, Northern Italy: 0% SQ reception from 2F so far! Not done any tweaking yet! Strong and stable signal from 1N though!
Equipment: Visiosat BIG-BISAT multibeam (90/70cm); MTI Highline Twin LNB 0.2 dB
Let's hope for better... :-crying

Thats interesting as theres a successful report from not too far away western Austria on a 1m dish Have a look at the map Ive produced. Your dish may need tweaking up a bit.

The rebroadcasters in the Costa Blanca area started streaming TV from the UK, then rebroadcasting it, this is how they will get round it. I think

I think that Analoguesat' map is pretty revealing. It clearly shows that this spot beam i not so much a spot but instead is a long thin ellipse.

Well thats not a surprise really - think of a torch beam, and remember 28E is well east of us so its beaming in on a slant..

Point the torch at your feet and its more or less a circle of light. Point it 20 feet in front of you and you get an ellipse

This evening Im going to modify the green successful reception blobs on the map. Im going to change the colours according to this pattern.

Dish size:

up to 1m --> stays green
1m - 1.49m --> pale blue
1.5 - 1.99m --> yellow
2m - 2.49 --> purple
2.5 and above --> purply- red

the "reception failed" reports will stay red with no internal black dot.

Nothing on 11095 H here may be a ghost signal from another dish or something close by your end?

Yes I know that - but what I was trying to say is that this beam even seems to even start off as an ellipse rather than a spot so when it hits the ground its shape is much more elongated than normal. Badly put I admit - sorry.

map updated with the reports up to now :)

There is only 1 thing on that map that has me completely baffled. How the hell is it working in Crete?

It all looks very correct apart from 1 or 2 faulty reports where I guess someone is inputting wrong parameters but that Heraklion one has me baffled.

We did have it locked in Tenerife as did trigger in Lanzarote but it wouldn't work. No picture. -1.5db it was showing. We need +3db minimum and that's the very very minimum.

i think we also need addiotnal information when users reports singals with the other things i posted earlier, signal lock - , able to view channels - description of view

edit the reason i say these is because we are getitng some dubious result whichb might be there only gettinga signal but no lock, but other witht eh same dish size in the same area might be seeing it signal but no lock cant view channels so nothing it all in how we all communicate i am prim exam-ple of being bad, to accuratle work out the beam we need mroe information form each report

the signal on 11095H is gone here. Maybe it was a reflection from wherever...
