Hi all, new here. Drawn here by all the fuss on 2F, hope to stick around after the 2F excitement has died down. Here's my reception report from Maranello, NE Italy for 11023H. Readings taken from Foxsat HD box, 1,2m offset dish & Black Ultra quad.

Friday 23/11: 0% Signal 0% Quality
Saturday 24/11: 0% Signal 0% Quality

By this stage was getting a bit dispondant, then suddenly this morning...

Sunday 25/11 80% Signal 60% Quality. Rock Solid, perfect picture.

My set up is working perfectly, and has been all the way through. On all the 1N TP's I'm receiveing 100%/100%. The change is definately at SES end.

Hoping that it stays that way for me right now.

As of 1350 CET situation is now back to 0% 0%. :mad:

Raining here just now but was only up a couple points on quality yesterday when it was clear.
Was expecting a bigger increase from 2F.

that is data from 1N pan europe beam long time it is on flysat and lyngsat.
look the modulation 16apsk

at morning near 1/7 c/n
at eveng 1n bit strong at morning signal up to 2.5 db

BBC One HD from 1N a constant 90% here (Costa Calida) with a 1.9M dish

BBC One HD from 2F has fallen from an constant 80% to 75% over the past 4 hours :-crying

Why do we not have any punters West of me reporting a signal - Its lonely here

I think my Humax Foxsat must be playing up.
Manual Search in non-freesat mode.... choose 11023H SR23000 2/3 etc. and not a sausage. I can't imagine that Barcelona is in some kind of bubble.....

You are pressing the Save button after entering the parameters?

If you don't, the bars stay resolutely inert.

Using 1.8 and Invacom Quad, and Mac "EYE TV" software, or Humax.
Stable and fully-locked. No pixelating.

Getting a Humax RX to receive these test TXs wasn't easy and took some patience, eventually, with all the correct parameters, it worked fine and displayed perfect pictures.

It must be a different tuner in the Humax HDR to the Humax HD 1020. I have 80% with the Humax HDR and 75 - 77% with the Humax HD 1020

I press "save" but it all stays at zero. The transponder doesn't "stay" saved either... I'm thinking there has to be some obscure antenna setting parameter which is not right. But that said, my current Frresat reception on all channels is very good.

I had the same problem before I managed to lock and save the two BBC HD test channels.
The new TP (11023H) is saved only when the channel search is completed sucessfully.

vladan - we ask that people dont use image code for a very good reason - many people are on slow broadband and threads full of image tags can take FOREVER to open as the images download

Images loaded onto our server open in a thumbnail and anyone on a slow connection can open any image of particular interest for a closer look.

SES-Astra might be getting flak from the Beeb after seeing reports that reception is covering all of France,eastern Spain
etc etc

The BBC were quite happy to transmit on 2D and that covered much more ground, so I can't see why they would be complaining now.

As far as tweaking the beam that became impossible the moment they lit the blue touch paper. And as far as re-orientating the beam all that is going to do is hit the signal in the UK and change the favour of one external area, in place of another. Laws of physics apply. They are scientists, not magicians.
