Probably means that another satellite at 19.2E is on the brink of failure.

Have we reached a time when 2F has arrived at 43.5 East ?
If not when do we expect it to arrive ?

Maybe, or maybe we'll find out that was another interim plan that didn't come to fruition.

Impossible to tell until the tle's are updated - according to n2yo shes out over the Pacific atm. However as these are known not to be reliable where the birds are under ground control and manoeuvring its anyone guess where she is atm.

SES know, but they aint saying much, apart from the solar panels have been extended in the last 24 hours.

Also, even if it does go to 43.5E there's no point trying to receive it. In the licence document it said downlink max power would be limited to 26dB EIRP.

Does that mean she's been handed over to SES? It was meant to be two weeks according to the launch video.

Reading the FCC document again, the 26.5 dBW limitation is only during the LEOP (Launch & Early Orbit Phase), estimated to last 6 days. I guess when the sat is in (test) position, that phase is over.

It's quite remarkable that US Stratcom has lost track of both Astra-2F and Gsat 10 for over a week, while for both the rocket booster and the Sylda, TLE's were issued yesterday...

Yes, that's a TLE for Astra 2F issued today at 18:45, arrival at 43.5 East should be in a couple of hours!

And new TLE for Gsat 10 issued yesterday 21:57, then at 79 East, would be at 83 East on 12 October.

There's a report on the Astra2 site that 2F is at its test position and now active. Someone called Dosh has picked up a signal.

astra2.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=a2f&action=display&thread=2185&page=2

It may be time for a new thread for signal reports.
