There's only the smallest amount of information of what is going to go on to 2E and that's only recent. AFAIK there's absolutely nothing on what'll be going on to 2G.

4.2 m gets it all, or in better words ,has not lost anything.But some work needs to be done to the dish,the same work which got us BBC and ITV back (before they moved to 1N). A customer in Paphos also reports no loss on his 3.8m .This dish has been moved twice and was modified in Limassol for BBC before we moved it to Paphos. I was in Pissouri (between Limassol and Pahos) today to check one of my 3m installs after reports of channel loss. After clearing the cobweb and adjusting the dish a bit I got it all back except 12.207 V (Sky News,sky2). But then I went to a 3m dish in Apsiou village in the lower mountains north of Limassol and 12.207 V was working fine, because the dish had already been "modified" over a year ago.The customer was complaining of loss of 12.207V and 12.152H (Sky sports news SD) morning and after 11pm but my battery went dead on my Satlook after 5 minutes before I could do anything.
Are you still looking for a big dish ?

thanks for the input, thats the best news i've heard all week

never stopped and probably never will. all this bird shifting is killing me though and i'd be inclined to wait for at least some solid 2E reports before making a move.... that plan may as well go to hell if a bargain monster dish pops up out of the blue, in which case i'll just jump on it and cut my losses if it dont work out.

With or without Mods my cousin near Ayia Napa cannot get anything back on a 4.2m dish.
If you plan to move home to Cyprus buy in the west of the Island, or use SKY's "On Demand".
How do you "Patent" petals on a dish??????????? - Not a new innovation surely.

The patches arent petals Carole - they are applied to the surface of the dice faces - they weaken the interference from the Badr's at 26E

It wont bring the PSB's back but it might allow some reception of the Pan Europe beams (although it remains to be seen what frequencies the Middle East beam coming to 28E uses..)

Rubber mats or aluminium strips ,or both. Sometimes one or two. Not always on the same place on the dish. Different dishes, different results.But all prime focus and I wonder if it's just Cyprus
I don't think it's just interference from BADR. Could be local interference from tv/radio/mobile phone transmitters. Like I said before ,the channels are still there but weaker and so the interference is "swamping" whatever signal we have left.
I did another one today and got 12.110H sky sports 1,2,3 back but not 12.152H sky sports news/eurosport2, I ran out of time but will try again. It's not guess work either,you need a quality sat meter with fast response because one inch either way and you "lose" the signal. Then if you fix one you lose another. You should see what else we have tried on the dishes :-)
