There arev uncionfirmed reports that our new bird has been lit up at 43.5E

Not hanging around with this one are they?

The launch was moved forward, and its almost unheard of for a bird to light up for tests so quickly
 
They need it....those old fellows up there got some cracking bones.

Says 43.5E there AS. Checked 43.5E or thereabouts, nothing for me here at present except stray from 42E.
 
I've just done a blind scan on the Ariva testing 34.5e and Nada. According to the Astra 2 forum its at 43.5e not 34.5e but either way i'm not getting anything watchable on either position as yet.

I have picked up channels, but after checking they are stray ones from 36e on 34.5e setting and from Turksat on 42e when testing 43.5e

It's probably a good idea to dig out an old analogue receiver to see if there are some "black screens" out there. Usually those kind of signals are first.
 
..possible a signal on 12185H but no lock. The energy is neither coming from 42E nor 45E. RF_max ( Loop scan) moving around the alleged position ;)

I get something on 11440V... not sure if its spill over though. if it is switched off, it's a good indicator it was a test actually...

So how long will it take to travel the 15 degrees to 28.2E once the testing is finished?

I've swung the motorized dish round to 43.5°E and I'm running a 4Mhz stepped blind scan using the F15 at the moment. I'm guess it may just pick up some TP's off 42°E but I'll let you know what happens

Without many reports at the same time across Europe, impossible to say.
 
need to see how much c-n are you got normal 18 db it stronger
c-n 7 db low reception
 
S/N can only be read when locked..
