If I went to receive Hotbird instead of Astra what do I need to do? Do I need to Change the LNB (what does it stand for).

If you have a universal LNB (Low Noise Block converter), then you don't need to change it, just swing the dish round to the West a bit and up a bit.

Just looked at your last post in analogue Systems, according to the channels you can see, you are already on hotbird. http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/forum/showthread.php?p=33991#post33991

Well thanks rolfw I guess that explains a lot of things. So in order to get more Polish channels I need a digical receiver. How much does that cost and where do I buy one from?

Sorry for another dumb question what are hotbird 1 2 c3 4 5 and 6 are they different sats or different settings or what?

They are sats in the same location, so you should be able to see them. You can buy a cheap, but reasonable free to air digital receiver for £100 or so from loads of places. I get mine from www.sateuropa.com
