What dish size?

can i use an offset dish? or must it be prime focus?

? i have full signal and 90 % quality on a 60cm offset using sky box missing and itv and bbc 1
 
Moved your post tagged onto a thread well over 5 years old.

Reports vary from 1.2 to 1.5m depending on exact location. Local knowledge is always best.
 
Hi Keith,

Whereabouts in Skåne? I live near Eslöv and a 1.8m Channel Master works great. A 2.4m Fortec Star, however, worked abysmally. Size is only one part of the equation, you also need quality too.

I get no signal on bbc 1

I can watch BBC news

And i have 90 % signal quality signal strenght is 100%

Using a pace SD Skybox with a new sky freesat card.I even called sky to activate it my self which they did.

The signal screen in picture one shows signal strength for transponder 4 being on the North beam.
 
Yeah, the Sky "help" page for tuning only uses one transponder. BBC News is also not on Astra 2D, so doesn't help you at all with knowing how likely the rest is.

Astra 2D needs a good quality large dish, a good LNB and feedhorn, and very careful and accurate alignment. Fail on any one of them, and you can forget evenings watching Strictly Come Dancing.
