A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I been given a 400M file taken last week of a school play, to burn onto a disk for a customer. No problem, except the original was taken in a dark assembly hall and so the definition of the kids on stage isn't what it should, or could be.

Is there a programme out there that can process the file as a whole and allow be to increase the luminance ?

Thanks in advance

The opensource project known as Virtual Dub allows you to adjust contrast/brightness....and then re-save to an AVI file...

But I do not think you have progressed to Linux yet CH

And I have, though it was in the USB stick at the back of the drawer.

Mediacoder, has a setting for luminance within the 'effects' tab.
