The BER on my DM is quite high at the moment. is there anyway you can fine tune the box without getting an engineer out to fiddle with the motor?? If so how do you do it??

Thats bad over my head. Is there no way you can fine tune it using the remote control ??????

If dish/motor alignment is off, then all you can really do is get the ladders out and realign.

From the motor setup page, you could nudge the dish east or west with your remote, once you get a signal, store the position. This is only a half measure because you can only do this for a limited number of sats , so you'd be missing a lot of sats and probably some transponders on the ones you do pick up.

I would bite the bullet and realign. Why not do it yourself? The info you need is all on the board.

You only need a satellite meter, a spanner and access to your dish; takes a few minutes.

If you're happy to go up a ladder we'll tell you how to do it :)

Dont worry about the meter just find a friend /relative/nieghbour/ local tramp to look at your TV whilst you play with the dish. Much more reliable than a satbeeper in my experience and all those xrated channels in your channel list provide an interesting talking point. :-rofl2

Seriously though it shouldnt be too difficult provided your OK up a ladder and Its nice when you think of all the money you've saved by not calling the engineer. Hey If I can do it anyone can!
