Does anyone know if the footprint of the badr 4/5/6 sat has been removed from the uk.
I am struggling to get a signal on a 1.1m dish whereas I used to easily get a good signal on a 1m dish, my location is Yorkshire if anyone has recent info on this Satellite it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a bit further north but if you can wait till Monday I'll try with a 90cm Channel Master.

PS 11996 H 27500 is the strongest transponder

Getting normal signal levels here in West Yorkshire from BADR4 on my 1m dish, although 5 & 6 are out of reach here and always have been.

thanks that would be helpful if you could try that and let me know the outcome, there seems to be a lack of information regarding the footprint of badr.

Any chance your dish has dropped slightly. The usual drill. With your dish aimed at Badr apply a little pressure at the top of the dish towards yourself and see if the signal improves. Same happened to me a while back and a slight adjustment did the trick. I assume nothing has appeared in your line of sight since you last tuned to Badr. Summer vegetation possibly

I find the best channel to get a reference lock on for this sat is Aghani at 11.977 V27500 3/4.
Once you have this channel locked in you can fine adjust the others.
Works for me with 1M dish in East Yorkshire.

My dish is a bit out.After a lot of fiddling with the longitude settings this is what I get here in South Yorkshire.I think that they are from 26 East,

Badr 7 signal level is good, I'll check at night if it changes. Right now the sky is overcast here.

10.3dB on 11996 H 27500 just now, in light drizzle & cloudy conditions. As others have indicated there doesn't appear to have been any significant change to BADR 4 signals in north UK.

Hi - A blind search of 26 E using a 1.2 Channel master brings up 162 t.v. channels .. I,m 45 miles west of Leeds ...
Are there any transponders in particular that you are struggling with ?

Thanks for the reply it was mainly Palestinian channels . I assume the 162 are badr 4&7

138 FTA channels from BADR 4 using a CM 90cm here which includes the Palestine channels.

There is nothing regarding line of sight no obstructions trees etc, just struggling to get a lock on any badr frequency, gets all the other Sat's ok , I wondered if the signal was being knocked out by astra 2 with it being so strong, I'll try again tomorrow with a different meter

Which skin are you using?

The signal levels in my area at the frequencies 10970 V and 11010 V of Badr 7 are the same as in the morning.

I am using a 1.1m sat dish with a 0.1 dB lnb.
I always use to get a decent signal from badr on a 1metre dish which is why I queried if the footprint had changed but obviously not looking at all your replies (*many thanks)
