badr4

After much trying I managed to get a signal from badr4 there is quite a variation in signal levels Lebanese channels are by far the strongest whereas the Palestinian channels are borderline. Took a while to get a lock , the meters I have no longer give a audible beep when you get near badr so had to try input a frequency and fine tune on a monitor but got there in the end , appreciate all the help(I wondered if a better lnb may improve the palestian channels as they max at 30%quality whereas the Lebanese stuff are 70%) I'm using a technomate twin 0.1db

Probably interference from the MUCH stronger 28E. The Lebanese tp on V currently 11977 doesnt have an similar signal from 28E. The Palestinians on 11958H will be blatted by 11953H test carrier on 28E.

You could try a bigger dish to lessen the overspill, or detune the dish slightly by moving it westwards half a degree to weaken 28E

Yes I have my satellite position set at 25.5 for Badr. That and a slight adjustment to the incline on the dish did the job. I’d go that route before throwing more money at LNBs etc. The fact that the dish was working satisfactorily at Badr at one stage and is not now would hint at possible dish realignment being the solution. Cheapest option too.
