It won Oscars, but not the most prized one. 'Crash' BTW, is a decent film.

But, does 'Brokeback' wash in Maidstone? Hehe.

It got a rough ride almost everywhere it was shown.

To be fair, I felt it was a film to watch - I got quite excited about it. The buzz faded, I forgot. Then last week saw it in the DVD rental store.

Problem is that I have seen so many parodies and piss-takes on YouTube - that I still haven't mustered-up enough energy to actually watch it. LOL.

In fact, I took it upon myself to watch the orig 'Ladykillers' again last night (partly because I didn't know what the hell spiney was on about with his Atlee connection). BTW, still can't see it. Maybe, in voice?

Still love the line about the umbrella - both at the beginning and end of the film. amazed at how Katie Johnson is credited last - even after all the other bit-part actors.

its a great film.
the acting is incredible.
its basically a mature content love story but dont let that put you off, watch it.

However, today, I have V-FOR-VENDETTA to satisfy my wanton DVD adiction - Uuum, just looked again - it looks very much like a Brit-flick.:mad:
