just looking at the images it looks like the bottom plate is gouging the alloy base as its upside down
.
Not quite. The seller controls that, not eBay

contact the seller and mention the bottom plate has been mounted upside down scraping the main body and probably putting un need stress on the motor. Might get it down to £450 :) will soon be worth buying just for the motor

did u find the CM1.8 gives better signal than the Laminas ?

Well after over a year gathering bird muck and dirt I have finally decided to sort it out.

Just gave it a quick wash down.

My plan is to strip it down. Sand down, undercoat and paint the dish using the same spray paint my other dish was done with. The same treatment for the dish support on the rear.

Sand down and hammerite the feedarms and LNB holder black.

I have replacement zinc coated nuts and bolts and a brand new LNB ready to go.

The old dish is in a sorry state

I will post a picture when it's sorted.
Hopefully not in another years time:)

Well it was 8 months since the last update.

I eventually got around to finishing off the Famaval dish out that I picked up for free nearly two years ago.

The dish had an undercoat and a top coat along with the support bracket. The feedarms and rear block had a coat of hammarite (along with the existing ground pole). And I gave the motor bracket a quick flash of silver spray which I had lying around.

I replaced most of the nuts and bolts with new stainless or zinc coated ones.

Riveted some bird spikes along the top, metal ones this time

Also purchased a new Inverto Ultra PLL Twin LNB with 4G filter.(Two 5G masts within line of sight 100M away)

Early indications of signal have improved over the previous 1.3M dish and I can now lock 8W which there was no sign of previously.

Sorry I am not selling this dish, just reporting on one I picked from this thread for free nearly two years ago.

If your talking about my old 1.3M dish you can have it for free, rust included :p

Hi, I am looking for large satellite dishes, 1.5m minimum and up to 3m for a project I am working on. If you have something, please let me know

SMW Q-PLL Type R LNBs
Good price compared to that asked in the past. They can be a bit of a pain to control as the bands are switched by voltage and 22kHz. One type G I tried just about worked for extended Ku with an NF of 1.8dB at 13.4G rising to 3.5dB at 13.6GHz when set to 11.3GHz LO.

Not sure if I'm allowed to bump my own stuff here but please delete if I'm not.

Four weeks left before everything gets chucked in the back of the motor and weighed in for mixed metal scrap. Would be a shame to see it crushed but unless it sells even for a decent offer that's where it's going.
