Thought I'd share a tutorial with you guys on Cardsharing pretty useful.

It downloads all right - it's the opening that throws up the message-

There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

I'm using Adobe Reader 7.0.9, which hasn't given me this kind of problem before.

Blimey the slant view screen-grabs in that are just nasty. You would think anyone doing a guide like that would put some decent pictures in it wouldn't you??

The pdf does work with adobe
i wasn't the creator of the tutorial just thought i'd share it with everyone since its pretty helpful
 
I'm at home now. Completely different machine with Adobe Reader 9.3.2 installed. Still the same error message.

I give up...
 
Works OK with Adobe reader 9.3.0 Paul, I don't know what the problem could be
 
Running here okay on Adobe reader version 9.3.2
 
Finally got it to work.

Instead of downloading and then opening I tried opening it straight away. Why this should make a difference I've no idea, especially as trying this at work didn't make any difference.

Computers, dontcha just love em.
 
I can probably answer that Paul if you are using Firefox, then you need the latest adobe web plugin 9.3.0.148 go to tools addons updates
 
Not Firefox, IE7 at work and IE8 at home.

Mind you, now that I'm back at work I tried downloading and opening and, guess what, it worked today! What's more, downloading, saving and then opening also worked. Sometimes you just have to go into a dark room and scream about computers.

Ok I've got the set up page working and i need to know where do I get the info for the box key? Is this the box serial number that is in my 'other' box ?
 
are you using your sub card?

if so it will be from your sub box which you got your card with
 
Yes it will be the Sub box. I take it the card is locked into the box. There are two serial number entries (one with 9/11 char and the other with 17 char)what is the second one for?
 
it depends on the box. i think the hds sometimes have 17 char serial number. You enter the box key for system information or whatever it is depending on your sub box
 
Hey guys, this looks simple. Can you just tell me is it possible to add some server on .cfg file to test if it works before buying a card?
