Thanks for this m8, I have been looking for a tutorial for a couple of days so this will come in handy.

This thread is really only for the tutorial itself.

If you have followed the tutorial and are having problems then please post your question in a new thread. I'm afraid that this subject is quite complex and, whilst no-one is going to hold your hand and walk you through every step, when you hit a brick wall there will be people willing to help you.

You HAVE to be prepared to put the work in first folks. There's no easy route.

hey cool. pls note...once u download, remove the .tt n add dot pdf (.pdf) as in the extension or it will show as damaged file.

Hi there,

Is there a min broadband speed required for this to work well? I have 3mb download and 384kb upload but my sister gets quite a bit of glitching on her side!

She is on a 3G dongle so problem could be that side!

Any way to find out which side the problem is on?

Cheers,
mcquaim

The prob is almost certainly the dongle.

Anything to check to confirm?

I'm after noticing also that both boxes are using different versions of cccam, 2.2.1 & 2.1.3. Would this cause any problems?

Replace the dongle with a proper bb connection :D

The problems are caused when the keys change - any slow updates (caused by a slow network link) cause a blackout until everything updates.

Transmission via a dongle is MUCH slower than via a wired connection

I'm afraid that's not an option as wired bb is not available where she lives! The speeds she is getting on the 3G dongle are pretty close to my speeds but I guess with wireless the signal would be prone to break-ups..

Thanks for the help though!

In that case the appropriate is

tell her to stop being such a tight wad and buy her own subscription :-rofl2

Haha, you might be on to something there!!

Any performance difference between different softcams or even images for this?

No. The problem is almost certainly just a slow update somewhere in the chain.

An interesting update!

I decided to downgrade my cccam version from 2.2.1 to 2.1.4 and the performance it much much better! It really only glitches every now and again, pretty acceptable!

You would imagine an update in cccam would be more efficient...

Get reading then buddy, no spoon feeding on this forum

Thats a really helpful reply ;-)

Seriously, can you provide at least a hint where to read, or what to read. Try learning from a google of ccam newcamd and you get pages of sites wanting to sell you a subscription, but little about HOW to do anything. A lot of guides are several years old, and now outdated. Sure, if you have been using this for a while you know what changed or how to install and config from scratch, which softcam to use, etc. When you are new, and the old guides do not reflect current reality, its confusing to say the least.

Just my two cent way of saying everyone was a beginner once, and needed help.

Anyone able to send me a printable version as I don´t have full acrobat. Thanks

Use Foxit Reader 5 instead.

Much "lighter", free, and has Print features.
