Basic CCcam Question

Hi,

Hopefully a very basic question. I want to use a Dreambox just as a stand alone reciever (cheaper than buying new reciever), its a Viaccess card. Will it decode viaccess and update the card with new codes with just CCcam on there or do I need to update the provider ID (if so please remind me where to do this as I have forgotten and have been searching the dreambox folders for it).

Also will I have to input clock speed etc?

By past experience CCCam doesn't like the newer Viaccess encryption as it causes it to crash. This is most prevalent with the Viaccess encrypted s_x cards. CCCam will also not read a TNTSat card due to its longer ecm length. Its best to use OSCam for Viaccess cards.

Use the latest OScam and set it up as DVBAPI do not bother mixing it with CCcam
