Wind and rain outside, Named Storms in the offing and disastrous outcomes for some brings us rather abruptly to the end of summer and the onset of a shiny new Seasonal Thread.

Get those vests ironed.

Not around here, whist there is a reasonable breeze ( the sweet corn last night is coincidental) it is forecast to reach 25 degrees this afternoon.

Like a summer's day here just a slight breeze.

Sounds pretty wild outside in t'Midlands but not to blowing over wheely bins levels.

Looking almost like BBQ weather (24-25C) again tomorrow down here:)

Been blowing a gale most of the night here, this has made even more leaves fall and we have been inundated by spinning jennies (no the seeds silly, not the machinery) from maple trees. They were beginning to fall on Wednesday in the heat but have been tapping our windows and covering the ground all night, the picture shows the result of overnight fall only as I swept up two carrier bags full yesterday afternoon, it may not look bad however our patio is two trees away from the maple

Crikey, they've built a hulking great Housing Estate and Leisure Lake in your village!

Even better, they've moved it to the Atlantic coast and about 2,000 km south..

Currently 18 degrees outside, and windy.

Barmy weather.

Elastic-trickery went off for several hours in the night.

Pity the poor sparkies working in the wind and rain to fix it, with just a torch and self-grip wench.

A very sunny 25 degrees here today with no breeze :)

Leccy just went off again.

I suspect they were reverting to normal routing after the major fault overnight.

At least these occurrences are few and far between since our local network was put underground last year.

Unfortunately our elderberry tree has blown over in the high winds :(

Mid 20's, sunny with patchy cloud (and occasional showers this morning - but they seem to have tailed off) here ATM
