So on doctor's advice (!) we bought the house in France, intending to move there as soon as possible but definitely by retirement time.........In fact I'm off there this evening. Apparently the weather down there is quite mild and not raining...
Unfortunately Global Warming is likely to have the opposite effect on the climate in North Western Europe as the warming is extremely likely to disrupt the Gulf Stream with melt water from the polar cap and lead to a decrease in temperature here..The way I see it ..energy companies use 'the need to pay for green technology' as just one of their reasons for upping prices continually..
This is an attempt at reducing carbon emissions and thus get global warming under control..
In 10 days I'll be 57 ..and global warming wont affect me when I'm dead ..
I'm paying for the privilege of stopping the planet warming up ...when that's just what I need..
