No,because as most people are having problems with BBC, I don't because my dish just clears next doors roof, so I think the roof is just blocking the Arabsat transponder.

This theory of yours is absurd!!! how can you believe your neighbors roof blocks a specific transponder on the adjacent satellite in space?

ok anyone explain this ? Right now. got a thomson digibox with a card registered in london so 101 'BBC1 London', 102 'BBC2 England' both no signal received but 105 'FIVE' is clear as a bell - online resource(s) apparently say all three are coming from Astra 2D 10773H. On another feed from the same lnb my usb tuner cannot 'see' anything on 10773. So presuming is FIVE has moved ?

No. Five is on 12.422h . Only some regions use 10.773H. Depends on the post code of the card you have Have you tried BBC scotland on 971 ?

There are two fundamental versions of Five ............ Encrypted off 2D and so requiring Card and FTA on 2D not requiring Card but also as available/unavailable as BBC 1/2.

The former is just the continuation of Sky/FreesatfromSky and the latter was launched to fulfil obligations towards the new Freesat Platform.

Well I think you are in a better area geographically, more north and away from the overlapping footprint, although Paphos is getting it bad also Any of your customers having problems,or are they all 4.3m dishes ?
Also I just came across this thread from early summer and I think the clues are there, not just a coincidence. Read it all....

FIVE - ok, can see the FIVE/FIVER/FIVEUS items on 12422 (2A S beam not 2D) through the USB tuner but all encrypted so can't watch :(. i was using lyngsat and checked the five wiki page ... 10773 apparently but i guess this is the FTA handled by Five themselves rather than FTV handled by Sky ?!

BBC - got BBC1 South East and BBC2 Scotland as default chanels on the media pc, both a maybe 90% good right now. on the digibox 971/983 bbc1 scotland/south east and 990 bbc2 scotland are 90% good (ie frequent mild breakup)

as an aside - which is the most frequently updated 28E channel listing ?

KingofSat or Flysat normally.

The Astra 2D version of C5 is handled by the BBC :D

As a rule(in Cyprus),and taking away whatever is interfering, on 2D CH4 is the strongest at 10.714,then BBC London at 10773 then BBC Scotland/south east at 10.803. So although your Scotland is not being interfered with,it is weaker and will break up in the evening on your 2.7m dish. Have you compared your Thomson digibox with the Pace ? A lot of Thomson have power supply problems giving tuner problems.

Sorry to take the thread mildly off topic ...

ok, makes sense ch4 has been the strongest channel out of the lot across all three tv setups i've had running over the last few days.

Pace vs Thomson ... we found that when the Pace was struggling to keep the pace (boom boom) during short extreme breakup of bbc during summer evenings that the Thomson often was considerably better. Talkign of which i`m now remembering reading somewhere that certain ports on the Invacom Quad LNB are stronger than others, maybe the Pace was in the weakest and Thomson the strongest ? What is the score on the lnb port strength, i guess after 4 years of having it wired 'wrong' i could should consider wiring it 'right' lol

Some say the outputs vary but I find its very fine unless the LNB is faulty, and if an LNB has faded over the years then so have any of the unused ports. The only way to find out is to try them one by one.

yup, circa 10.40pm swiftly lost everything on 2D with 'no satellite signal received' type message on digibox right now Ch4 and BBC1SE are breaking up very heavily but not watch-able. BBC1Lon still nought (as expected).

by 11pm Ch4 and BBC1SE are back crystal clear, BBC1Lon is even giving it a go but breaking up very heavily so not watch-able, this is BigDutch, in Paphos, for Satellites.co.uk, over to you Mr Motson.

Panic over ,all back now. But it was not just 10.773H. ITV4+1(10.832H) and ITV2+1(10.891) were no signal, but all working now. Looked out to see if it started raining but its clear skies.

Hmm. Strange why all mine went crazy for ten minutes. But when I get a bit of break up on bbc I always check the others to see if its a transponder problem or a 2D problem.

No problem,check it tomorrow :-)
By the way,I haven't been able to watch sky sports 4/news for a while in the evening, usually no signal. But tonight it was working fine with a slight break up now and again. The frequency is 12.148H and many people have problems with that channel and I blamed that on BADR 26e also.
I noticed on your list on the other thread that 12.148H was missing. Its possible it wasn't there when you scanned earlier. Can you get it now?
