The much publicized dispute between BBC and Sky has taken another turn today. According to reports on the Digital Spy website, the BBC has shifted the date of Free To Air broadcasting from Astra 2D on Sky Digital to 14th July. The ITC ruling is expected at the end of June and so this will give the corporation two weeks after to finalise everything. Sky are threatening to move the main BBC channels to a position lower down on the Sky channel line up. The matter has been passed on to the ITC, who have been quite supportive so far for the BBC to retain its current EPG slots. Initially the BBC channels were expected to transmit in Free To Air mode from 31st May, however that looks unlikely now until July.
