The BBC terrestrial downlink mux on Intelsat 907 is presently FTA. It also carries ITV1 HD and Channel 4 HD.

DVB-S2 QPSK 11495V SR 44100 FEC 9/10

You'll need a tuner that can resolve that DVB-S2 high symbol rate. I'm using my TBS 6925 PCI card.

That could be of interest to people in Europe.

The footprint seems to cover all of Scandanavia, France, Germany and Spain.

It wont last - it'll be an encryption screw up or equipment failure.

No odds anyway - most domestic equipment cant tune the 44000 SR.

I can get it on a Techisat S1. Are these the normal datarates for DVB-T in the UK ? Because picture quality is much better over at 28.2 East. Even the HD channels sometimes get no more than 2.4Mbit/s. But I guess it's just a backup in case some fibre cable fails etc.

How are you measuring that? I've got 7.5Mbits average on BBC One HD (My Family Christmas) and up to 16Mbits on BBC HD (One Man & His Dog).

The Technisat S1 has a datarate indicator showing the exact current datarate.

It is amazing how good the quality is considering the datarate. They are without no doubt using the best available encoders, better ones than for satellite.

No CAT shown in tables. Not even BISS. Must be encryption of some kind, but it's only data being sent (red PIDs in RH window), no programme content.

I would have thought it was Powervu like the channel5 MUX on that bird but lastnight when I checked Lyngsat it did`t say, only showed them as clear and c5`s in Powervu

If it`s not PV I wonder if there is K*ys kicking about for it pmsl (nah that`s just wishful thinking lol)

Do you know if VU+ UNO can handle DVB-S2 SR 44100 high symbol rates ?

Its tuner is pluggable unlike the DUO's integrated ones.

No it won't.

The problem is not only the symbol rate but encrypted PMTs.

I'm new to all this. I haven't even decided on a receiver yet.

What is a PMT ?

Program Map Table.

Forget it - unless the transmissions run fta (maybe one a year for a couple of days) normal receivers cant decrypt this stream.
