Evening guys,

Where are these generally now adays? During the elections they were very busy on 28e but has this now stopped? Are they using 24.5W/12.5W now or also 16e?

Never had much luck at getting the 24.5w ones up here in Scotland, I think it may be the really low SR.
 
Afew feeds moved to 12.5W from 24.5W, 12690-12705V range, i have seen several reports about these feeds at 16e cannot confirm by myself since i dont have that sat.
 
Yes, seen a few BBC feeds at 16E recently
 
16e becoming quite an interesting SAT then if the BBC also use it, as you have Sky News using 11000-11200H on a daily basis for their OBs.
 
I've only had my motorised dish up for a month and I'm yet to catch any BBC or Sky News feeds. Have always wanted to see them. Maybe my 80cm is too small?
 
Yes, all the BBC feeds that used to be on 12.5W and 24.5W moved over to 16E some months back. You can find them on txp F6.

Some of the feeds, especially the HD OBs are using 16APSK, so you'll need appropriate equipment to tune in.

Sorry I'm still a bit new to all of this, have just checked Lyngsat and there are quite a few transponders on F6. Is there any transponder in particular I should scan? Also, what is the best way/site I should use to find out when they are on air?

Sky News ones come in for me at 85% ish, but Im in North East Scotland and have a 1.8m raven so your results may vary. :D

From experience, the following are what Sky use:

11082
11093
11127
11138
11151
11163
11187

I may have missed a couple out, they are all horizontal at 10,000 Symbol rate, 11163 and 11187 are active right now.


Favourit TV (11045H 10554) is always active and comes in at 93% for me, which may help determine if you will pick up Sky News as the feeds come in at 80-85% for me.
 
The feeds tend to be weak, so an 80cm maybe a bit to small to catch all of them.
 
12680-12710 seems to be most active with OBs for the BBC News Channel.

Thanks Jamie, Can't get any of the Sky News feeds but the BBC ones are coming through.

Saw those earlier, didnt think they were BBC with the ITA 390 ID tho?
 
That's interesting. I didn't know so much had moved from 24.5W (which I often struggled with) to 16E. Shall be giving that position a scan more frequently! :D

Are the ITN Newsroom feeds still at 24.5W? I ocassionally got them on a weak signal, but I've not checked for ages...

I think all the ITN stuff is 19.2e in KA Band, Im sure someone else with that equipment can confirm.
