BBC on dreambox..????????????????

Hiya fellas having massive probs trying to receive bbc and itv channels on my dm500s...

When i try to scan for channels i don't find them...

Being unable to scan for beeb channels, i have FTP"d pet123s settings across..

all the beeb channels are now in my bouquets but when i try to clear channel i receive The channel doesn't currently send a signal.......
SNR84 AGC 81????????????????????

Ps i can clear taq....premierre ART etc...But not the FTA rascals LOL
 
Can you clear anything on 28.2 degrees East?

However if i manually drive dish to 28.2...

Signal is perfect snr84 agc 82????????
 
Your dish is probably pointing at the wrong satellite.... What channels do you actually see (if any)?

That says Digitall+ Service, that means that you are on Astra 19.2.
Try going east for 9 degrees (i know, you know where it is) to get it roughly right manually count to nine when you press the button as 1deg is roughly 1sec for the motor. Then try 12129H as the transponder as i don't think that is duplicated on a close sat. Good luck.
 
Thought so - as hoppo says you are aligned onto 19E :D
 
Have you read the Guide ?

Are you motorised? Which motor? Do you use gotoxx or using stored positions? What is the BER on the channels that you can't see?

eXcuse my ignorance but why does it say on my box it is on28.2 and also highlighted text above....

Because of the limited transmission spectrum available, the same frequencies are used at various points around the satellite arc.

You ARE aligned onto 19E - I guarantee it :D
 
Right - deleted every channel you have scanned under your 28E settings, move the dish around to 28E & rescan.

Ok tried the above and it would seem i have a signal prob.....

According to my old image gemini 2.9 i was able to lock onto the channel but when i scanned i never received anything....
Decided to upgrade to 3.2 and when i try to lock on to above i can't lock on...
SNR81 AGC 79 but BER is all over the place upto 15000 sometimes...

So i presume my dish must be slightly misaligned...This worries me though because my signal is perfect on 13.0E,19.2E......

Sounds like your arc is wrong. Did you set up the dish/ motor correctly e.g. motor on zero pointed at your southerly sat e.g. 5W (depending where you are in the UK). Details are, of course, in the Guide.
 
Yeh..Think you're right MHKU.....Must admit to setting it up a not entirely to the book...
Wasn't to bothered about any sats apart from footy ones..13,16 and 19.2E...
Could pull em all in so i believed i had the "arc" nailed...
Can only be a nats cock hair out though if SNR and AGC is over 80%..Correct????
