Guys recently I got my dreambox repaired (the 22khz problem, remember?) Now I get almost all the channels except for one which I really want to get, It is BBC Prime which is on 11131MhZ, 5632 Symbol Rate when these setting are entered the signal cannot be locked, I had also another receiver(PremiumX), on that receiver BBC Prime shows perfectly with no signal problems. So how can this happen?
I use Dreambox 5620 with the latest Gemini Image satellite dish pointed to Hotbird 13E

Are you sure they fixed it right? Ask them to try finding the channel.

A have almost the same problem with 5620 and Gemini 2.7.
It locks the channel, but the picture and audio quality is very poor.
With Gemini 2.1 I have no problem. Try other image.
I do not now what causes it.

I don't know why you want to watch this perticular frequency, I can see BBC Prime without any problems on all images using 10756 Vert 3/4 27500

Why don't you try this and also let me know why you need the other freq.

I also found another one on 11129 V 3/4 05632, that one also a very strong signal

Hi T_G,

This BBC Prime is in the TPS package. There are rumors that TPS changes to Via 2.6 on March 10th. Bye-bye TPS.

I also have quality problems with the low symbolrate channel. DreamMultimedia told me the sensitivity problem of DM 5620 could not be repaired.

Hey guys, after testing on two dreamboxes and two dishes with various setups, i have found that gemini 2.7 is the problem. It doesnt like quite a few chans, especially bbc prime. Especially when used with an emu. Roll back to a previous gemini version for the fix.

From my tests i have found these images have the best results on these boxes

DM7000/7020 = gemini <2.7 (not 2.7)
DM500 = pli

Guys,

The main problem is not the bad tuner. I have tried some old images based on cvs 106 and all worked with strong low symbolrate channels. The lowest SR was below 3000ksym/sec on Eutelsat W2 16E, called Alsat TV 10957 H, SR:2821, FEC:2/3.
We should tell the developers to consider putting back the old tuner driver in the new developments.
