BBC Reception In Algeria

I already had reports from someone who has a 3.7 prodline dish and said to have successfully received 2f (west of algiers), please m8 if you say you have monster dishes tested there .. Could you mention the make and model please .. Because 6m roten dish wont help.. Cheers

pipino, vladan just wanted to express that roughly at the same latidute the differences are extremely big. He is located 2000km East of nabih and as known for good 1N falls very sharp from the West to the East. The 5m is a slightly bent DH (Prime Focus) but in good condition so that it performs roundabout a good quality 3.7m. The 6.2m is a cassegrain type dish of unknown brand but performing very well. It waas installed in 2006 and was getting Astra 2D quite well.

This 3.7m Prodelin you're speaking of, is it motorised or not ?

Hello everybody
I think that the game is over now for receiving the BBC package in Algeria .
No receiption of BBC channels and ITV 1 as well as CHANNEL 4 and 4SEVEN since last thursday in spite of a wonderfull sunny wheather here in Algiers.
Anyway there is still Internet solution but......it is so disappointing.

I don t think it s a local problem.
All south beam transponders are very well received with a signal of 80 % more than one hundred channels.
Something is happening in the transmission power from the BBC technical .services surely.

Have you had any reception at all of the Channel 5 family or 4Seven since December 4th? (The date when 4 transponders moved to 2F)

And what sized dish do you have?

What a surprise BBC package on 10818 V with a good signal in spite of cloudy wheather today in Algiers.
Just to remind that BBC channels were off for days on this frequency.
Can someone tell me if this transponder is on Astra 2F or not thanks.
