This should probably be in the batten down the hatches section but here goes.Took these pics of the bbc scotland and stv dishes that have been "parked up" due to the severe weather up here.It seems they have joined SETI.

Hehe - looks like they are going to do a dry run of to track Santa with Norad on Xmas Eve!
 
how fast was the wind.
here in lago patria the big dishes they park up like that if the wind is at 90 mile per hour or greater:-righton

Around 80mph in Glasgow although it has been reported that winds of 165mph have been recorded in the Cairngorms.
