SES will almost certainly re let it to someone.

Or maybe it'll be moved to 1N on the narrow beam :D

I heard a rumour this is actually a Sky leased transponder which in turn was sub-leased to the BBC? Not sure if that's the case or rented directly from SES or not?? I guess Sky will take it for more HD when the need arises.

Maybe they'll leave it inactive to help power loading on the craft?

Hi
I lost my beloved 6 channels (streams ) of BBC red button choices. I enjoyed them on mainly on sport choice. Now checking 11954H i only have a bbc mosaic. But none of the other 6 .
I appreciate if anyone can confirm details of it if they can get any red button channels. Does anyone think we may have to wait till 1N ?

Thanks

I still reckon it'll move to 1N. Its an easy swap to cut the power requirements on a pretty elderly bird.

11954H is the new frequency. They are still scanning on my Sky HD box, but maybe it because I already have them stored. What comes up on the list when you scan that freq. and what type of box do you have?

Yes after your confirmation I scanned my TV's freesat / othersat option on astra 28.2 with 60cm fixed dish. I Got all 5 channels named 6711-6715 . My other motorised 80 scm fortec originally had two channels namely T7 STRM-1 and 2 . They never had any transmission. Now they are transmitting. 2 has mosaic , 1 has F1 on loop. But i cant get anything else on this transponder. I am now sure either box or dish needs tweaking. Thanks .

Any idea why they are still available on a SKY box under labels 6711/6712/6713/6714/6715??

Either it is not in their spec. to hide them or, more likely, they've forgotten to do it. Hopefully the project team has moved on to something new and it will not change. Less said the better in my view ;)

I would have thought they would hide the streams from skyboxes...

On the new TP there are two other (existing) BBC streams called "BBC Stream 4 0" and "BBC Stream 4 1". These are mosaics (I think) and are not hidden. It may just be the someone didn't check properly and just copied the parameters from one of these instead of duplicating those of the old streams. I am sure it is a mistake.

probably they are left there as a mistake (for the time being) but the strange thing is...on a non HD skybox most of them do not carry any audio (only 6712 by the looks of it)
BUT on the HD skyboxes all five channels carry audio!!!:confused can anyone confirm this?

The wrong audio stream has been mapped to them. Change the audio to one of the others ands it works
