BBCi in fringe areas

Just to let you know most Sly boxes I have tested will now recieve the BBCi on 12.441V (Astra 2.
Up until recently not all boxes would show that the channels were there and would only show BBC radio 2 and 4. They always have been there but for some reason the box would not display them.
There are 7 Streams and will show most of the interactive from the BBC (there are 2 other streams on 2D). This is a good work around in areas where 2d reception is unavailable and you cannot get BBC. Recently all of the 6 nations Rugby and the England World cup qualifiers have been on these streams and in English which is great when you live outside the uk and can other wise only get it Spanish etc.
Sorry Ladies Eastenders in not available on the interactive streams. Hopefully never will be!!!!!!

Just to add a point to trigers informative post...
12441V channels are also receivable with any digital receiver...Not only SKY digibox.

Just tuned them in but am only getting sound on the last one. Am I the only one with this problem? Is there a fix for it?

I confirm the same problem on the Panasonic DSB30 i tested...
No sound probs on my Humax 5400 tho..

Another Panny 30 user here. Just checked - no sound on the ones I looked at (stopped at the snooker!). Happy to see it in any event

Can anyone tell me how to get the BBCi stuff on a PACE (latest version) box then? If I change the frequency will that cock up the box?

Nice one, checked all 7 or 8 streams last night, just a bluey test cardy type thing on 0,1,2 and 3. The last one (7 or 8) has two screens showing but sound relating to the left screen - any ideas how to switch?

Is there any way to get a programme listing for the content on these i channels?

Is there any way to move between these channels (or indeed any other added channels) without having to go through the services, added channels route?

Fish-check services, add channels in your box menu, and this will allow you input the frequency via your remote- the box will then tell you if it can locate any channels. It will not upset your box.

Hi

Got my new sky+ box today - but I'm not here to gloat! Just to let you know that I have sound on these extra channels with a Pace 3100.

Also, a pal of mine reckons if you switch you digibox off for a couple of mins and reboot it then you may get the sound as it will as it will reload the new channels correctly. I didn't try it on my panny as I don't need it any more - teehee!!

No more lock-ups
If you want to find the channels without going through the menu then I suppose you could load them into your favourites??
