Begineers help please..

Hi.

Can somebody point me in the right direction to either a website or a post on this forum that will give me all the basic facts of digital satellite systems and the cams/card (or whatever they are called) that go with it. I want to know how/if you can programe them yourselves - and what channels you get for doing it, and where you can buy offical/pirate cards that work in the receiver, and the benefits/cons of both!

Basically any starter help in this area would be great!

Wish that it was as easy as that Rob S, There is a good site for information on cards and programmers www.duwgati.com and loads of information on the forum here, in fact probably all that you need is here, but unfortunately you're gonna have to wade in with the reading.
