I presently have a Sky Q box to receive tv but only being used for free services. It costs £15 per month. I tried a Freesat box but the TV was unwatchable as it always had monentary blackouts every few minutes. Tried a second Freesat box, same problem. It is unlikely to be a dish problem as the Sky Q box works as expected.

I would like to get rid of Sky completely but other than Freesat, I don't see a box on the market.

Can someone advise of al alternative box for freesat? I want a recordable box with a 1TB of memory.
 
Without changing the LNB you are pretty much limited to Sky Q or the Freesat 4K box (I wouldn't recommend it anyway). If you don't mind swapping the LNB have a look at this thread by @Lazarus

When my first generation Humax HDR gives up the ghost, I most definitely don't want to spend a small fortune on the only Freesat branded replacement currently available (the much derided Arris) and I've been considering an Octagon SF8008 with an internal M.2 SSD instead (World Of Sat will preconfigure as a Freesat look-alike).

However, in researching other options, WoS also do a pre-configured ZGemma H7S and a slightly left-field ( and inexpensive!) option of the Amiko "SimpleFree" Triple Tuner...

For over 10 years,I have been using a comag hd double tuner,excellent device.
And a 500G hard drive.
Would love to find an equivalent,maybe with HEVC and the French& Italian "streams ,or 1 or the other (streams seem more appealing)
Either double tuner or single (if sigle tuner,i ll buy 2 receivers),so i can have astra 2 on 1,astra1&hotbird(monoblock) on 2.
i live in France,so,EU access better than UK "brexited" goods.
Any suggestion?
