2x Pace 2600 C1 (in a box just in case) , 3 x Humax HD Foxstat (2 of which in store as spares) . 3x Manhatten Plaza - Pasat 2.4 PF dish mounted on flat roof with Invacom C120 quad LNB .

For absolutley trouble free recetion the Pace 2600 seems to me to be unbeatable - the DN430 although good is not as selective and so in fringe areas like mine needs an attenuator for some of the strnonger channels which then needs to be turned off for the weak horzontals - a bit of a fad. The same is true of the really good Humax Foxsat HD although it behaves a lot better then the Pace DN430 and only requires attentuation on the very strongest signals which I dont watch anyway so I don't use the attenuator at all on it. However the good old Pace2600 needs nothing and yet brings in everthing plus more than either of the other two boxes and no need for an attenuator any any signal - its simply the best. You won't find me changing mine for anything else at the moment even though I do run the Humax for the HD channels as well.

I run a Pace 2600 alongside the latest addition to my fleet, a Samsung HD digibox, purchased recently from you-know-which auction site. Amazingly it is as good as the Pace sensitivity-wise, at least it appears to be with my undersized 150cm dish. I run it in single-feed mode as I'm yet to find a dual output LNB as good as the equivalent single. One big problem, however, is that my white subscription card doesn't appear to be interchangeable at all, apart from giving the right BBC/ITV regions. In other words it doesn't open the basic tier channels, only FTA, except on the box it's paired to. Apart from that big drawback I'm really happy with the HD box, and recommend it to fringe dwellers! Another thing, it has kept my chosen EPG frequency of 12207, without reverting to the north beam one.

A slight diversion here but this is something that interests me as I've yet to find a definitive answer.

Is the white card yours or is it a second hand one? If it's a lapsed subscription card do you know whether it was just for one of the basic subscriptions or whether it it was for one of the premium services (Sports or Movies)?

My official card has been paired with the HD box and no longer works in the SD box, and the white card which I found in the HD box when it arrived is also useless. Both cards when used with my SD boxes say " this is the wrong card for this box etc..." ,and this even on Channel Five and other FTV or non-premium channels. So my viewing card is now restricted to the HD box. I will check this out again over the weekend, just in case! My own card is certainly current, and has movies, but not sports. I suspect that SD cards are interchangeable on all but premium channels, but HD enabled cards only work in the correct box.

Yes that's certainly a possibilty. But as your level of subscription is premium this could also be the cause.
